gcode 0.7.0 released - ground-up rewrite with a much better API

I’ve just published gcode v0.7.0, which is basically a ground-up rewrite.

The old crate worked, but the API had accumulated some awkwardness over time. This release is the version I wanted it to be from the start:

  • nice high-level parsing into an owned AST
  • a proper zero-allocation core API
  • source spans everywhere
  • recoverable diagnostics
  • still embedded-friendly and O(n) with no backtracking

If you’ve looked at gcode before and bounced off it, this is the version I’d recommend checking out.

For those that haven't heard of G-Code before, it's kinda like the Assembly language for 3D printers and CNC machines.
