It's the people that matter - A blog on practical OSS practices in the Rust project
I ran into this blog post, and I didn't see it posted on this sub yet. It was very interesting to me for several reasons:
- Externally Implemented Items are a complete foreign concept to me, as someone with very little C experience.
- The process around pushing such a change through the compiler, the people involved and the actual work being done became very clear.
- Their take on LLMs in OSS projects really hit close to home.
Normally I don't share links and I have no affiliation with the author, but this was very insightful and might be to others as well.
