Don't be rude, my fellow Rust Redditers, this is my first real rust program after a years of doing little programs, here I am, getting my skeleton out to the public, the start of something, I really want to focus on the player vs players part, so including 1.7 protocol, etc.. for the moment it's still in early stage.

I re-read my post and it came off a bit rude, which wasn't my intention.

I'm Noksio. I've been coding since 2014, and I consider myself pretty skilled at writing poop code haha.

Why did I want to write a Rust Minecraft server?

I'd been maintaining a 1.7 Java PaperSpigot fork for years, and eventually I hit a wall with Java. I wanted to feel what I felt when I first learned to code. Rust's syntax and benefits really suited me and my slightly sick obsession with optimization, so I went for it.

And here we are. :)
